Hi, I'm Brittany

My name is Brittany and I am the mother of 1 daughter. During my pregnancy I was very prepared on what was going to happen during my pregnancy, labor and childbirth. I took a breastfeeding course at my hospital and thought I was well prepared for breastfeeding. When my daughter was born preterm that is when I first learned about flat nipples, nipple shields and the importance of breast pumps. Unfortunately, I wasn't given the correct information for my situation and when I wasn't making enough milk at one month postpartum, I was just told to give up. Determined to understand why I wasn't successful in my breastfeeding journey I did my own extensive research and realized all of the misinformation and incorrect advice I was given. I was able to relactate at 6 months postpartum and breastfeed my daughter until she was 2 years old. I became a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and decided to use my knowledge and experience to help other mothers. I'm sharing all of the information I wish I had to help others with their breastfeeding journeys.
